Girls' Day Out and New Fun Finds

Had a terrific day out with my dear friend Karen yesterday. Flea Market/Antique Sale, Estate Sale, Antique Shop, lunch, Nell Hills. The tree colors in Kansas/Missouri are more gorgeous than usual this year. I told my grandson that one of the things about getting older is that you really love things like the fall leaves changing. Guess I realize how precious each season can be and that this one may be my last. (Not to worry; I am well; I just realize the brevity of life).
Snagged some good finds too. Another darling little cup with kitties! And, a whole box of Bridge Tallies with BUTTONS! So cute with little feathers and bits of this and that with the button faces. I will be reselling these very soon.

What a Blessed Life!

Back from Indiana with a ton of great memories! Exhausted too! Dianne kept me going non-stop. Just wait until you see the transformation of the grandkids' room that we accomplished. Also, we hosted a wonderful tea party for her friends and went to the button show in Michigan. Worked on a glue book and took a horse and buggy ride with Amish friends. Got a few little goodies at some antique shops too.
I'm a happy girl today; it is one of my very favorite rainy kind of days~~~~~~
I will post some pics as soon as I re-group and rest up a bit.

Big Trip to Land 'a Goshen (Indiana that is!)

I am busily scurrying around to make ready for a big trip. I have not been anywhere for 3 years! Well, I mean, any big trips like this. Plus, my friend Dianne and I have SO MANY plans that I am already exhausted. We are decorating a room for her grandchildren (7 and still counting!), having a tea party for a bunch of her friends, watching Anne of Green Gables together (she has NEVER seen it!), making gluebooks, and going to the fall show of the Michigan Button Society. If you live anywhere Near Big Rapids, Michigan and you LOVE buttons, you HAVE to try to come to this either Saturday or Sunday. You will see buttons like you have NEVER seen before and meet the nicest people anywhere! And, I get to see my dearest friend Sue and stay overnight at the show (can anyone say Baileys' Irish Creme?)plus a lot of other great button friends too!
So, have to get busy...........Less than two days now! (Can't you tell? I REALLY need to get away!!!)

GOOD JUJU in Kansas City; Urban Mining Too

Friday was gloriously spent with my dear friend Karen out junkin' around. If you are near Kansas City on the first Friday weekend of the month, ya gotta get to Good Juju.In a great old building downtown, it is a fabulous combination of vintage creations and furnishings with art and whimsey thrown in. Repurposed, refurbished and just plain fun! And, most of the prices are good too. Here are some of my finds: A wonderful old very tall red stool for just 8 bucks! Cigar bands to whip up something ala Cathe at Just Something I Made

Also another sweet little ceramic shoe, my 3rd now for my collection. Love the crazing on it. Sweet little old packages of birthday candles and a cool bingo card.
After that, we were off a little further uptown to Urban Mining They are also only open the first Friday weekend of the month. Found these little cups and a great medical diary calender book. And just look at the darling image inside the cup. Too sweet~~~

Not much money spent, but a terrific day of inspiration and giving a new home to a few little treasures

Another Day, Another Collage...........

Sweet little collage to share.
These are so theraputic to make; adding all the little touches. Too much fun for one grammy!
Otherwise, I am dealing with a bad bite on the arm that I got down in my workspace. Had to make a doctor visit as it was so swollen and red. Getting better now. It's a jungle out there! Even in your own basement!!!
